DAMU
Damu is a personal study of the human form and a characterization of distinct types of people of North African descent. The project started as a challenge focused on realism within digital portraiture (CGI). Damu is currently an ongoing project/WIP, with more updates coming very soon!
After studying references of people representing various tribes (Nubians of Sudan, the Afar region in the North of Ethiopia, and the Bodi in Southwestern Ethiopia), Damu is an amalgamation of some of the disparate traditional features originating throughout the horn of Africa and Sudan.
